Attendance reports

Find the right attendance report: daily lists, registers, monthly summaries, unmarked classes and students with low or chronic absence.

Attendance reports turn the daily marks into lists and summaries you can check, print or share. Use them every morning to see who is missing, and at month end for registers and summaries.

Before you start

  • Attendance must be marked for the dates you want to report on.
  • You need permission to view attendance reports.

If you do not see this option, it may not be included in your plan or your role may not have permission; ask your administrator.

Steps

  1. Go to Attendance > Attendance Reports.
  2. Choose the section you need: Student Attendance Reports, Staff Attendance Reports or, if you use devices, Biometric Reports. You can also type in the search box to find a report by name.
  3. Click View on the report.
  4. Set the filters the report asks for, such as date, month, class or section, and run it.

Colleges and semester-based institutions also see program, semester and course or subject wise versions of the daily report.

Students who need follow-up

Attendance > Attendance Alerts has two tabs:

  • Low Attendance: students whose attendance is below the percentage you enter in Below %, for the date range you choose.
  • Chronic Absentees: students absent for at least the number of days in a row you set in Absent streak, with the guardian mobile for a phone call.

Set From and To (it defaults to the year start and today) and click Apply. The range cannot end in the future.

Good to know

  • Reports reflect what was marked. An unmarked day is not the same as an absence. Run Not marked students before trusting a summary.
  • Holidays. Keep the Holiday Calendar up to date so closed days are recorded correctly before you report on a period.
  • Corrections show up. Once a correction is approved, reports show the corrected status.
  • Other modules. Student and staff reports elsewhere in the menu may also include attendance figures.
