Install BioAttendance Software

Download and install Scolvia BioAttendance software on your computer.

  • Download from Attendance Settings
  • Run installer as administrator
  • Launch BioAttendance software

Connect Device

Connect ZKTeco device via Ethernet to router or computer.

  • Connect Ethernet cable
  • Configure device IP
  • Test connection in software

Sync API Key

Generate API key in Scolvia and connect BioAttendance software.

  • Go to Attendance Settings
  • Create Biometric API Key
  • Copy URL and API Key to software

Sync Users

Sync staff and students from Scolvia to biometric device.

  • Click Sync Staff
  • Click Sync Students
  • Verify users on device

Enroll Fingerprints

Enroll fingerprints for each user on the biometric device.

  • Select user on device
  • Choose Edit > Fingerprint
  • Scan finger 3 times

Common questions about Biometric Attendance

Which biometric devices are supported?
Scolvia supports ZKTeco K40, K50, and K70 models. These devices support both fingerprint and RFID card attendance. The K70 is the most efficient model with faster processing and better fingerprint recognition.
How do I connect the device to Scolvia?
Connect the device via Ethernet to your WiFi router or directly to a computer. Configure the IP settings, install BioAttendance software, generate an API key from Scolvia Attendance Settings, and enter the URL and API key in the software to establish connection.
Does it work offline?
Yes, the biometric device records attendance offline. When the connection is restored, BioAttendance software automatically syncs all recorded data to the Scolvia cloud. Attendance must be loaded on the website within 24 hours.
How do I enroll fingerprints?
On the device: Press OK > User Management > All Users > Select User > Edit > Fingerprint. Ask the user to place their finger on the scanner 3 times. A tick mark confirms successful enrollment.
